Default Catalog?

We've had a lot of requests to put out a catalog lately. What do you all think? Do you still enjoy receiving/ordering from an actual paper catalog or do you get your fix online nowadays?

The way things come and go so quickly, especially the custom wood you could never attempt to catalogue them. As for the other gear I find the internet more user friendly. I also think you may be asking the wrong audience, the requests for a catalogue are they coming via the internet or phone? Chances are anyone who sees your question is more apt to prefer online vs. catalogue shopping.

Default Great Point...

I knew there was a little bit of "preaching to the choir" on this one. I'm looking to find if there's crossover... Does anybody on here still order any of their fishing products over the phone or via mailorder out of a catalog?

The only way I think a catalog could provide value would be in the off season. If you put it out in late Feb. early March when everyone is sitting around organizing gear and waiting for wish I think it would be of use.

But mostly I shop on the internet. Gives me something to do when I am supposed to be working.

I think it's a waste of time. You already have a great website. J&B Tackle gives out catalogs at all of the wintertime fishing shows at their booth. I have a bunch of theirs and never even look at them.

I still like to read a paper catalog but 99% of the time order off the internet.

Well your competition does. I'm thinking of StoneRiver , Madison River Flyshop,FeatherCraft and a few others. However, the cost of printing would be a factor.
Depends on your market. Another suggestion would be to mail out a small flyer to your customer base , just before the season. FishHawk
