Default Whats everyone thoughts now?

Is the fishing what it should be? Is it off for this time of year? Do you think it will get better, or is it down hill from here? If not, where are your predictions for hot spots? Let's hear your opinions.

Hey Frightnight,
The last fishing report I heard was there was still big fish being taken in the canal and surrouding areas. So hopefully the best is yet to come and soon. Did you eat that keeper yet?

I did not eat the keeper, I actually sold it to a friend of mine for her restaurant. Helps pay for gas, bait, lures, and lunch. Thanks for the fishing answer NOFIsh. What is the canal? Up the Sakonett River at the bridge.

The cape cod canal. There still is time if they are still hitting them there. Last year we didn't get any run due to heavy storms. Hey we were still catching fish at the breachway in Dec., bass and blues too. There was some good sized herring around to keep them there. Nothing like fishing when bait and fish are running through the surf. So don't put up the boat yet. There are still fright nights to be had.

I think my last Fright night may be tommorrow night. Thanks for the reponses and the help. I have a question for you. Maybe you will know? My nephew just sent me a pic of a bass that was caught in his town this weekend. I have attached it below I think? If it came through. He lives in Saint John, New Brunswick Canada. He says this 48 pound stripper was caught 12 miles up the fresh water river, from the bay. I was feeding on smelt and shad. He tells me that they have smelt there all year long, and the bass are there all year? Is that possible?

Default Oh Canada...

Nice fish! ...

Frightnight got me interested so I found a little info online:

http://www.gov.ns.ca/NSAF/sportfishi...es/stbas.shtml

I especially like this part:

"A striped bass tagged and released in the Saint John River, New Brunswick was recaptured 36 days later in Rhode Island, U.S.A., 805 km (503 mi) away! (22.4 km/day or 14 mi/day) "

If that bass was caught last weekend I'm calculating her sister will show up here sometime around mid-december

Default Other Late Season Options...

Once the water cools off, what about fishing by the outflow of your local power plant?

Here's a picture I found of someone w/ just such a fish! (Hope Nobody Minds the Humor)

[quote=Pete_G;667]I would like to find additional writers. We obviously can't pay for writing, but some sort of store credit might not be out of the question for quality content.[quote]

Pete,

I'd be very interested in working out some kind of barter system for some quality content. Pm me with what you have in mind in regards to format, style, point of view, how often, a blog, or what have you?

I love to write, am somewhat creative, and can be reigned in to fit your desired parameters. My only issue is not being a resident............sose I wouldn't be as available to report on those particular waters, though I could correspond from the NShore if you are interested in broadening your audience, and do some kind of weekly NPT/SO Counties report(s). Plus, I do plan on fishing NPT, The Gansett, LH to LH in the South, The Tail, The Tree, and me various haunts on the NShore to boot!!! Sleeping is overrated anyways, especially once our beloved prey returns!

Please let me know if you feel we could come to some sort of an arrangement and I would be more than happy to contribute to what is fastly becoming the best forum, ecommerce, instructional, skills, and thrills address on the net!!!!

Thanking you in advance for your considerations,

-Jess
