DAILY FISHING REPORT!!! Posted each a.m. with updates when available. When you get a new pic for the hall of fame run it with the fishing report for a while or until you get another one in. We'd like to know as much as possible short of spot burning. You know catching what, where and with what. Maybe having more people start checking in daily to read and see what's up can't be a bad thing for all concerned. Good luck.

Well, just got in again from fishing. Went out at noon, and fished un til 11:00 p.m., a full 11 hours. My friend and I each caught a tiny little bass. Had to be the smallest bass I have ever seen. That was it in 11 hours. I consider that a skunking. I or my friend have not caught a keeper bass since August 15th, over 6 weeks!!!! I here, "Oh, the stripers are here, and there, and it is the season, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH." Now I here about 40 pounders nesr Prudence Island. What a bunch of crap. Can anyone tell me why I keep hearing that now id the time, this is the season. I do not catch anythinh, and let me tell you, I put in the time. I caught all kinds of keepers, and huge blues, now I can not catch anything. If this is the season, then what was it when I was catching everthing 6 weeks ago? How is this the season?

There is a fishing report that can be accessed on the home page. Problem being it isn't a daily report. If you were seeing something posted daily that wasn't so generalized as to location and maybe show a pic of anyone who caught something with live eel, 3 oz. Danny, needle etc. we'd be checking in more often and probably be buying the referenced plug of the day so to speak. Today is the 29th and the last reoprt on the web is posted on the 24th.

the problem with fishing reports is its old information. I assume that you read the prudence island thing from a newpaper report...that information is probably over a week old. yes day by day reports would be nice but the name of the game is getting out there and putting in the time. Fish as much as you can. Make your own reports. If you fish every single moment you can, you will fing fish. No one said this was an easy sport. Just because its the season doesn't mean their going to be so thick in the water that you can snag them. You have to find the right water, know the situations they'll be in and hit them as hard as you can till you find fish. If your finding smaller fish, keep fishing it, the big ones are most likely around, slow down retrieves and maybe try to get deeper. Fright, as for your trolling, its very possible that your going toooooo fast. I know if might be as slow as you think you can go but for big bass, you have to go reeeeaaaallly slow. That could be why your only catching blues. I know if gets frustrating but keep at it. Try fishing from shore a bit. Save the money on boat gas and learn some structure fishing. It will help alot once you figure out what the fish like and where they like to hide.

No fish, Thanks for the info. NJSurfcaster, Thanks so much for the info, and the advice. I am learning everyday, especially with people like you and no fish out there helping me so much. I have been discussing that very thing, (fishing from rocks), with my fishing buddy. As far as the reports, daily ones would be good. I know the fish move and change, but at least you can get an idea of what is out there, and if anyone is catching. Well, thanks again!

The problem is it's only me writing that report and mostly only me taking pics. Content is automatically limited because of that. It's hard to keep that report updated. Anybody want to a guest writer? I'm completely serious. I'll try and touch on this more later, I'm going fishing now... Quick Fishing Report: Fished Newport from 6pm to 2am last night. Lost something large I never saw and also caught plenty of tiny stripers and a couple blues. Conditions were rough so I mostly used a Super Strike Casting Swimmer as well as some heavier needlefish (Habs).
