| Yeah. I have a bulk of my main 20lb mono. (Ande BC) Looking for filler spools of more specialized lb tests Pete, what do you have for Ande BC? 20? higher? What do you have in stock for 40 or 50 (on your bulk spools) I need to fill my shad rod ![]() Last edited by rirockhound; 03-06-2007 at 02:43 PM. |

| I know line has already been mentioned, but specifically, how about 1/4 lb. spools in the store? I really would like to see the following brands in 10, 12, 15 and 20 lb. test; Suffix Tritanium (can't find it anywhere), Yozuri Hybrid (can't find it anywhere) and of course Ande Backcountry. On the braid front, I see no point to carrying the filler spools. I want 200 to 225 yards of braid on my spools when I fill them up. I want it wound on by machine. Those filler spools that come in 125, 150 and 300 yard increments are useless to me. 125 and 150 aren't enough, and 300 yards leaves me with about 100 yards of useless leftover braid that I paid a lot for. |

On The Water - Striper Cup Also, the Spring and Fall Surfcasting Club Challenges are always fun times. Have to be in a club to compete in these. These 2 tournaments, especially the fall, always result in serious competition and bragging rights for the following year. They run from approx. 6pm on Friday to 7am on Sunday. Intense, sleepless, fun fishing... The spring one is put on by RISAA, and I believe the fall tourney is run by Weekapaug Surfcasters. I would like to point out (in the spirit of competition) that Newport County Saltwater Fishing Club will once again be putting the hurt down on all other Fishing Clubs in the Surf Challenge while we defend our title. That is all. ![]() |

I do remember they weren't cheap though, and I think were selling them for $36. |

| I think that's the best price I've heard of, but still a little high. Unfortunately I just destroyed a Spheros last weekend (no, not on a fish), so I now have a spare spool. Also, I don't know what most people use, but I use the D size rod wrapping thread to make bucktail jigs and siwash tails. I realize you guys specialize in fly fishing, and maybe no fly fisher worth his salt uses that, but I don't know any better. Last edited by T y; 03-19-2007 at 10:02 PM. |
