Default 7/19 - 7/22 Guide Update

7/19-7/22 Guide Report!

Had Bob March and his two kids on board this week. They just wanted to get tight to something so we fished light and caught tons of small bass and many bluefish up to 10 lbs which will help quiet any kids on light tackle. They had a blast and the fishing was great as was the conditions for taking kids out. Nice work guys hope to see you guys again next season!

Fished the islands with Rob Taylor of Tattoo Tackle on what I hope is my last day off for about 2 weeks. Trips are picking up and so is the bass bite even with all the commercial activity in Buzzards Bay. Fished most of the day in thick fog which I loved and so do the fish. Good daytime fishing all around right now if conditions allow for it. We had fish up to 30lbs for a good chunk of the morning but they would just follow the plugs or flies a lot of times and not really hit it which made it tough. We did pick up a few nice fish but as usual didn't bring the camera right O BTW Robbie pull up your pants there! Almost thought we had a full moon already!

Fished CC Bay again this weekend blind really in search of BFT. Went out more as a reckon mission with very little Intel and no other boats out there to search with. I Fished with Tyler King who is an excellent angler and works hard like most people so when he gets a few days off he wants to fish hard and loved nothing more than to get a few shots at these amazing fish. Two weeks ago the bay was a gong show of tuna from 40-100lbs. Now its a vast body of water that goes up and down every 6 hours with no tuna feeding on top anyway. DEAD! and I mean DEAD! We did close to 80 miles on Saturday and saw one small showing of fish and that was it for 8+ hours of fishing. I hope the bite turns on again next month because it was something to see out there. Better luck next time Tyler thats what you do is pay your dues with these fish. Period

Fished with Chris and his father in law Ken who was just too funny! We out front in the white water and it was not bad but the NW-NE wind made it tough to cast into the structure but we did the best we could and did get hooked into a few VERY large critters that if you ask Chris he'll tell you these fish were of the "large nature" thats what he said. They should not have straightened the 4X split rings from Roscoe which is what happened about 5 times this morning. Two straightened hooks and few fish that just must not have been buttoned up well that went down into the structure and got away after a 5 minute or so battle. Hey s**t happens what are you going to do? Overall they had great fishing for about 2 hours but when the tide went slack @ 7:30 it got tough out there. Nice work guys!

See you next week time permitting

I'm going to give the #7 or bigger Wolverine splits a try and see what happens. Lots of destructive stripers in the water lately...

Fishing was much slower today. Not to mention the so called NE wind that was forcasted which was really SE that kick our butts. Not sure if it was the approaching low pressure or just the filthy SE wind but it was not really good today. Lets hope tomorrow is better out there!
