 The Saltwater Edge is owned by Peter Jenkins and has been in operation since 1992. We are located in Middletown, Rhode
Island less then a mile from 1st beach in Newport. The store started out in downtown
Newport in a small 600 square foot retail space. We moved to a bigger location at
561 Thames Street almost a decade ago, and in January of '06 we moved to an even
bigger and much more accessable location, 1077 Aquidneck Avenue in Middletown, RI. We've also developed an extensive
web presence over the past 14 years due to great service and fast delivery making
us one of the premier online retailers along the striper coast. The courteous, knowledgeable
staff is always available to help with any questions or concerns you may have. Our
sales staff brings with them years of experience fishing with fly rods,light tackle,
and surf sticks from the rocky cliffs, sandy flats, rips, and behind the center
console of a boat. We live and breath saltwater fishing and love to share our passion
for the sport with you!
